Full-time position full benefits annual bonus 401k PTO Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team in the Mortgage industry. This is a unique opportunity to take on a key role within our organization, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role requires a deep understanding of property accounting principles and practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios. You will be working closely with our property management team and other key stakeholders, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. Responsibilities: As a Senior Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of property accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. 2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. 3. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, and providing analysis and insights to support decision-making. 4. Collaborating with property management team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. 5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. 6. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. 7. Working closely with external auditors during financial and operational audits. 8. Providing guidance and support to junior staff members, and contributing to their professional development. 9. Using software tools such as Yardi, MRI, and Real Page to manage and analyze financial data. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant role will possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the mortgage industry. 2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable. 3. Proficiency in property accounting software, including Yardi, MRI, and Real Page. 4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. 5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights. 6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. 7. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines. 8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and corporate governance.
