It all begins with you.Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. - Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. - We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.Commercial Banking Financial Crimes Risk Control is seeking a highly motivated individual to be a member of the Program Governance and Framework Team. - This position will assist with activities in support of the development of procedures, processes, and controls to effectively manage and report financial crimes risk in accordance with FCRM policy and Wholesale proceduresSpecifically, this role will assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of a Financial Crimes program that is tailored to addresses the types of risk that are unique to the Commercial Banking business and customer base. - Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing sound advice and subject matter expertise to Financial Crimes related business initiatives as well as addressing inquiries from Relationship Management teams, Wholesale Financial Crimes Operations, Chief Operating Office, and other Commercial Banking team members with respect to program, policy, or procedural requirements
  • Drafting and maintaining appropriate reference materials, which may include desktop procedures, job aids, and written guidance document to align our control processes with all of the applicable Corporate Financial Crime Risk Management Policies and Wholesale procedures.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders within Commercial Banking to ensure proper and timely evaluation of Financial Crimes MR's including Acceptance/Rejection and development of business-specific controls documentation, where necessary, to ensure business controls are well documented and kept up to date in SHRP Business Profile Management.
  • Taking appropriate actions to address items identified for further review or revision as identified by FCRM Regulatory Source Owner or WFCRC in SHRP Data Quality and other credible challenge reviews.
  • Actively participate and represent Commercial Banking Financial Crimes in completion of Business Process Management deliverables by engaging with key stakeholders to contribute to mapping processes, identifying applicable MRs, risks and controls according to applicable policy requirements.
  • Assists in preparations for audits, testing reviews, or regulatory exams by ensuring SHRP controls are up to date and accurate and any control concerns are addressed timely. - Assists with the resolution of any issues, findings and/or recommendations related to controls.
  • Participates in special projects related to Financial Crimes program requirements, including customer onboarding, beneficial ownership, etc.
  • Any other tasks, as assigned or requiredTeam members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance; or a BS/BA degree or higher in applied sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or criminal justice and 4+ years experience in the foregoing

      • Knowledge and understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
      • Knowledge and understanding of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) compliance
      • Experience researching, developing, writing, and editing operational procedures and documents
      • Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management
      • Experience using Wells Fargo Cornerstone system
      • Exposure to Wells Fargo s Shared Risk Platform (SHRP)
      • An active Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation
      • Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
      • Wholesale Customer Information System (WCIS) Experience

        Other Desired Qualifications
        • Background in Law and/or Program Governance
        • Experience in Commercial Banking (front line)
        • Experience in Audit, testing and Validation

          Job Expectations
          • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

            The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
