Senior Estimator - Commercial Projects Company Overview: We are a full-service general contractor renowned for our expertise in building a wide variety of commercial projects from the ground up. Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating multifamily construction projects, from initial bid through project completion. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects. - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements. - Conduct quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive material and labor cost estimates. - Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets. - Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. - Present estimates and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders. - Track and manage project costs to ensure alignment with initial estimates. Qualifications: - Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry. - In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices for commercial projects. - Proficiency in estimating software and tools. - Strong analytical and mathematical skills. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
