Engineering Technician II(Contract) (Location: Phoenix, AZ area)
Job Description: Key skills: Experience with SMT PCBA (surface
mount technology and printed circuit board assembly). Knowledge of
the SMT process. Position Overview: The Engineering Technician
plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team by
providing technical assistance and conducting various tests,
measurements, and evaluations. They work closely with engineers,
assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of
engineering projects, systems, and processes. The Engineering
Technician's responsibilities encompass a broad range of technical
tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of engineering
functions. Skills and Key Responsibilities: *Experience with SMT
PCBA (surface mount technology and printed circuit board assembly)
*Set up, operate, and maintain engineering equipment, tools, and
instruments. Calibrate and troubleshoot equipment to ensure
accuracy and reliability. Perform routine maintenance and
inspections on engineering systems and components. *Collaborate
with engineers to design, develop, and improve engineering
projects, systems, and processes. *Assist in the preparation of
engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. *Provide
technical support to resolve engineering issues and troubleshoot
problems. *Perform various tests, measurements, and evaluations on
prototypes, components, and systems. *Assist in the identification
and implementation of corrective actions based on test results and
evaluations. *Create and update engineering documentation,
including drawings, manuals, and operating procedures. Collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers,
designers, and technicians *Proficiency in using engineering tools,
software, and equipment. *Experience in conducting tests,
measurements, and data analysis. *Knowledge of relevant industry
standards, codes, and regulations. *Effective communication and
interpersonal skills Requirements: *3-5 years experience *Associate
degree or relevant certification in engineering technology or a
related field. *Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with
engineering principles and practices. *Experience with SMT PCBA
(surface mount technology and printed circuit board assembly), and
knowledge of the SMT process. "Plus" Skills: - Mycronic equipment
is a plus - Fuji NXT equipment is a plus - Paste printer (Ekra or
MPM) - Solder paste Inspection Koh Young - AOI Koh Young -
Convection Reflow oven (BTU Pyramax is a plus) - Software Factory
Logix MES is a plus
