Pay Information $2,626 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Risk and Compliance Manager Profession: RN Specialty: Risk Management Duration: 52 weeks Shift: 5x8 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Five (5) years of clinical practice experience; three (3) years of progressive performance improvement experience License: Active RN License Certifications: Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or ability to obtain certification in Healthcare Compliance and/or Risk Management within one year of hire; BLS certification Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field Description: Plans, directs, and coordinates the Risk Management and Compliance Program to minimize the risk of personal injury to patients, visitors, and employees, reducing exposure to liability or litigation. Monitors risk management and compliance issues, conducts in-depth analysis when necessary, and assists individuals or departments with the development of corrective action/prevention programs. Oversees the Compliance program, develops, and maintains a written compliance plan and annual evaluation of the plan’s effectiveness; ensures that all required elements of a compliance program are addressed. Coordinates clinical and administrative activities to identify, evaluate, and reduce the risk of injury and loss to patients, personnel, visitors, and the institution. Develops and applies standards to evaluate the performance in conducting risk management activities designed to identify, evaluate, and reduce the risk of patient injury associated with care and services. Investigates risk management and compliance issues and participates in Root Cause Analysis of internal error reports. Provides ongoing staff development and education in the Risk Management and Compliance process to facilitate understanding of the program. Uses risk factor data to develop evidence-based patient safety interventions and process improvement strategies. Supports and coordinates facility risk assessments, root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and other investigations. Demonstrates expertise and participation in Performance Improvement team facilitation, leadership, and membership. Ensures that confidentiality is maintained by the Risk Management and Compliance Program. Develops policies and procedures to establish guidelines for the organization based on analysis of risk management and compliance issues.
