Physical Therapist Assistant Position The Licensed Physical
Therapist Assistant (PTA) delivers rehabilitative services to
patients under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist,
primarily within post-acute care environments. This position
necessitates compliance with state licensing requirements,
adherence to healthcare regulations, and collaboration with
multidisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and achieve
effective therapy results. Key responsibilities include executing
treatment plans, maintaining precise documentation, and engaging in
community health initiatives across a network of care facilities.

professional growth Position Summary The Physical Therapist
Assistant provides direct rehabilitative care in physical therapy
to patients referred by physicians, under the supervision of a
licensed Physical Therapist (PT), in accordance with all relevant
laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Education,
Experience, and Licensure Requirements Graduation from an
accredited physical therapy program (ASPT) Current registration or
licensure in the applicable state, with an obligation to maintain
an active license in good standing throughout employment Preferred
one (1) year of experience in post-acute care or a related field
CPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during
orientation; certification must remain current throughout
employment Specific Job Requirements Engagement in community health
initiatives and projects as appropriate Proficiency in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and email communication Collaboration with patients,
families, and support departments to effectively address patient
needs Consistent demonstration of proper body mechanics Ability to
make independent decisions when necessary Familiarity with
practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in
post-acute care settings Implementation and interpretation of
departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Competence in all required areas, including patient rights, safety,
and sanitation Maintenance of professional relationships with
colleagues, vendors, and others Confidentiality of all proprietary
and sensitive information Understanding and adherence to
organizational policies, including those related to harassment and
compliance Exhibition of integrity and professionalism by following
the organization’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory
compliance training Essential Functions Adhere to physical therapy
treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT Document patient
progress accurately and in a timely manner Utilize therapy software
effectively and accurately Provide excellent customer service and
maintain a positive attitude towards patients Assist in the safe
evacuation of patients when necessary Exhibit reliable and
consistent attendance Employ reasoning skills and sound judgment in
various situations Communicate effectively and work collaboratively
within an interdisciplinary team Engage in physical activities such
as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping,
walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hours
