Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - CVICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule /n• Holiday coverage based on unit needs /n• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments /n• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units (4:1 ratio on telemetry) /n• Travelers float first before permanent staff /n• May be required to float to Westgate campus when requested /n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed) /n• Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes /n• 2-day floor-specific orientation required /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN preferred) /n• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred /n• Level 2 ICU experience accepted from teaching/high acuity/large hospitals /n• Strong IV skills required as there is no IV team /n• Must have own vehicle for travel /n• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings /n• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing /n• Navy scrubs required /n• Care for cardiac surgery recovery patients, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, ECMO, and other high-acuity cases /n• Handle high number of bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz catheters, and epidurals /n• Work with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems /n• First-time travelers accepted /n/n Facility: /n This Level 1 trauma center operates a 24-bed CTICU/CVICU unit providing highly specialized cardiac and thoracic intensive care services. The facility maintains very high acuity standards with intensivist coverage during days and on-call at night, 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, and specialized programs including transplant services.
