We are seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to join our team! As our Pharmacy
Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking
specialized medications. Responsibilities include collecting
prescriptions from customers and inputting all important
information into the system as well as accepting payment for
prescriptions and small purchases. You will also be answering the
phone, fielding basic questions and referring customers to the
pharmacist as needed, taking inventory and putting it away, and
assisting the pharmacist in other duties, as needed. The ideal
candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has
strong customer service skills, and can uphold the highest level of
confidentiality. This role is perfect for someone who excels in a
fast-paced environment, loves helping people, and values a
consistent, MondayFriday schedule with no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities Front-End Customer Service: Greet walk-in
patients, manage the point-of-sale (POS) system, and provide a
compassionate, professional experience. Phone Management: Answer
incoming calls, route inquiries to the appropriate staff, and take
messages or refill requests accurately. Shipping & Logistics:
Carefully package compounded medications for mail delivery and
coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely arrival to
patients. Order Triage: Organize incoming prescriptions and ensure
the lab team is alerted to urgent patient needs. Pharmacy
Maintenance: Keep the front counter and waiting area clean,
organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Qualifications
Customer-First Mindset: Ability to handle patient inquiries with
empathy and patience. Dynamic Task Management: Proven ability to
"shift gears" quickly between administrative duties, billing, and
shipping as patient needs change throughout the day. Tech Savvy:
Ability to learn pharmacy software and manage shipping platforms.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for
phone and email correspondence. Detail Oriented: High level of
accuracy when handling sensitive medical packages and billing info.
Unlike retail chain pharmacies, we specialize in custom-made
medications. Our environment is professional yet personal, offering
a steady schedule that respects your time outside of work. We are
not open weekends or major holidays.
