qualifications will not be considered. A healthcare nursing role is
available for Registered Nurses with expertise in step-down care,
focusing on a multi-acuity unit that combines ICU, PCU, and
medical-surgical patients. This is a contract position located in
Prescott Valley, AZ, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic
critical care environment with a broad range of patient conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care on a 10-bed
Multi Care Unit handling ICU, PCU, and Medical-Surgical patients
without floating between units. Manage complex patient cases
including sepsis, respiratory failure, post-op complications,
alcohol/drug withdrawal, and titratable infusions. Administer and
titrate drips such as sedation, vasopressors, and insulin according
to care protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
including respiratory therapists and monitor techs, with bedside
monitoring and 12-lead EKGs as part of patient assessment. Maintain
competency by floating to Emergency Care, Medical-Surgical,
Pediatric units, and West Campus ICU/PCU as needed with appropriate
notice. Adhere to a schedule of 12-hour shifts (day and night
rotations), covering every other weekend and holiday rotations.
Participate in standby rotation during low census periods.
Qualifications and Experience: RN license with 2 years of ICU
experience preferred; a combination of 1 year ICU and 1 year
PCU/Med Surg experience from larger facilities considered.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must pass a dysrhythmia exam
with a minimum score of 80% within two attempts prior to contract
signing. Strong skills in critical care nursing and titration of
drips. No current or recent employment (within 12 months) at
CommonSpirit facilities or affiliated entities. Location Overview:
