About the Position – Correctional Services Specialist New Freedom
is seeking a dedicated professional to work within the prison
environment in collaboration with the Arizona Department of
Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR). This role serves
as a positive role model for clients preparing for re-entry,
demonstrating strong personal recovery and coping skills while
facilitating therapeutic groups. This includes overseeing advanced
intake services, reviewing and validating assessments, and
collaborating with leadership on individualized and group treatment
plan recommendations. The position requires a strong understanding
of New Freedom and ADCRR treatment philosophies, admission
processes, and program criteria. The Specialist partners with the
clinical team and cross-functional departments to ensure delivery
of comprehensive clinical and administrative services. Your Impact
Will Include: Facilitate assigned client groups in accordance with
curriculum, schedule, and program standards. Document group
sessions, client interactions, and complete all required
documentation within 24 hours. Oversee intake processes, including
initiating paperwork, conducting assessments, reviewing treatment
plans, and ensuring adherence to admission criteria. Collaborate
with clinical and cross-functional teams to support diagnostic
decisions, treatment planning, and recommend direct client support
as needed. Monitor, assess, and document client behavior and mood
changes; report concerns and coordinate with therapists or medical
staff when appropriate. Support clients in developing personal
recovery goals, re-entry plans, social skills, and daily living
competencies. Gather client feedback, recommend curriculum or
process improvements, and enhance group facilitation and classroom
management techniques. Meet all KPIs and supervision requirements,
actively participate in clinical oversight, and complete required
continuing education. Performing additional duties as assigned to
support our mission. Where You’ll Work Primarily onsite at our
offices and within correctional facilities. Traveling to various
institutions to meet directly with participants. Using standard
office equipment, plus plenty of face-to-face interaction. Some
days will require long periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
