Come be a part of what makes us so special!We are currently seeking dedicated professionals for Life, Annuity, and Health Service Specialist opportunities in 2022 with the desire to work a full time schedule.Military veterans and spouses are highly encouraged to apply.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are optimally identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Receives and fulfills member service requests for all life policy, annuity and health policy changes through various member contact channels applying foundational member servicing techniques.
  • Documents all relevant information and ensures accurate fulfillment of the member's request.
  • Asks questions to understand member's service request, discover key information, and life events to understand the member need, and documents relevant information.
  • Processes transactions accurately and compliantly, focusing on creating an outstanding member service experience.
  • Recognizes member verbal cues and potential opportunities to meet the member's need through a product or service.
  • Encourages member to take action to address needs and opportunities.
  • Supports enterprise business goals through the achievement of individual referral and product acquisition goals.
  • Recognizes member verbal cues and potential opportunities to meet the member's need through a product or service.
  • Seeks opportunities to build, deepen, and retain the member relationship through multi-company products or services.
  • Applies foundational knowledge of the business and assists with alignment of business result processes and capabilities with business needs.Minimum Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
    • Up to 1 year of relevant customer service or sales experience.
    • Foundational knowledge of life insurance, health insurance, and annuity industry processes, products, services, and regulations.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications, including a Windows operating system.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.Preferred Requirements:
      • US military service or a military spouse
      • At least 6 months of Life and/or Annuity Service experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business (or related) from an accredited university.
      • Current Life/Health License
      • Two plus years of customer contact experience in a call center environment where multi-tasking is required.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $43,680.00 - $60,100.00.Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.Shift premium will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.Benefits:At USAA our employees enjoy best-in-class benefits to support their physical, financial, and emotional wellness.
