Job Description:

Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift (2-10pm)The Quality Assurance Technician will assure product quality and customer satisfaction. Performs dimensional layouts and other quality checks on purchased and fabricated components and performs process capability studies. Leads continuous product and process improvements, performs root cause analysis, and executes problem solving actions.

• Performs detailed inspections, audits, and testing of parts and products to ensure they meet dimensional, functional, and aesthetic requirements.
• Communicates nonconforming product quality issues to the appropriate individuals and departments.
• Implements procedures and systems necessary to promote continuous improvement of parts and products.
• Assist in troubleshooting and analyzing nonconforming product to determine root cause and drive permanent corrective action.
• Generates reports and communicates information using various Microsoft Office software applications.Work Experience
  • Experience in quality assurance and/or extended on the job work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform Layout Work for FAI's/PPAP's
  • Experience with the manufacturing of consumer goods is preferred.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems and experience with refrigeration systems testing is desired.
  • Proficient with Surface Plate, Height Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, Optical Comparator, CMM's and Aesthetic/ Cosmetic Requirements.
  • Ability to operate CMM's with Open DMIS and/or Metrologic platforms. Programming CMM's is a plus.
  • Experience with basic quality problem solving tools (Histograms, Pareto, Run charts, Cause-Effect diagrams, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this position.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and to handle stressful situations with professionalism is required.
