Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, an esteemed leader in diagnostic
healthcare in Arizona, is seeking a dedicated Medical Lab
Technician / Medical Lab Scientist for our Blood Bank division.
This role is pivotal in executing state-of-the-art tests and blood
processing techniques that facilitate critical diagnosis and
treatments. As a joint effort between Banner Health and Quest
Diagnostics, our commitment extends to providing excellent medical
services through cutting-edge technology and research. Join us to
contribute to health improvement outcomes while advancing your
expertise in a dynamic lab environment. Perform blood group, type,
and screen tests, including antibody identification. Operate and
maintain lab equipment with rigorous adherence to cleanliness
standards. Assess the compatibility of blood and blood products for
transfusions. Maintain accurate records and ensure the
confidentiality of sensitive patient information. Collaborate with
other medical professionals to discuss patient diagnoses and
treatment plans. Stay current with advancements in blood bank
technology and regular continuing education. Ensure compliance with
all applicable regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in
handling and analyzing biological specimens. Strong technical
skills, including experience with automated and manual testing
systems. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to
detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced
environment. Effective communication skills, capable of explaining
complex information clearly. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Medical
Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
by ASCP or equivalent. Valid state license as a Clinical Laboratory
Scientist/Technician, where applicable.
