Development Team. As an intern supporting our fundraising events,
you will play a key role in driving the success of these impactful
campaigns. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks
that contribute to the planning, execution, and follow-up of these
life-saving initiatives. The American Heart Association’s
Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for
hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in
gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health
organization. The Association offers many resources to help you

Overview Time Commitment: 20 hours per week Internship Duration:
9/8/25 – 12/5/25 Location: Hybrid Position - Intern must be based
in the greater Phoenix area Salary: $23.00 per hour Internship
Outcomes Individuals participating in the internship program are

organization. Complete an internship that enriches your academic
and professional resume as well as enriching your personal life by
making a difference in the lives of others. Responsibilities Event
Planning & Support: Assist with the planning, coordinating, and
executing pre-event logistics, and on-site event management for
multiple community events. Event Participant Outreach & Engagement:
Conduct pre-event outreach to attendees and conduct follow-up calls
to guests and participants. Sponsor Support: Assist with sponsor
presentation preparation and gathering materials for sponsor
follow-up after meetings, helping to maintain relationships with
key stakeholders. Data & Reporting: Assist with pulling reports,
data entry, and organizing event-related information to track
progress and outcomes. Administrative Support: Assist with
administrative tasks such as preparing printed materials,
assembling thank-you cards, and organizing event supplies.
Qualifications Candidates who are seniors or graduate students
pursuing a degree in business, communications, public relations,
nonprofit fundraising, or event management. Experience/interest in
promotion, sales, or fundraising. Demonstrated excellence in
written communication skills. Demonstrated skills in effective
one-on-one and group communications and comfort with working
professionally with all levels of community leaders, volunteers,
and staff. Effective oral and presentation communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing
multiple priorities involving multiple entities. Intermediate to
excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge of Canva. Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi
Connection and reliable transportation. Minimum availability of 20
hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm. Minimum in office on
Wednesday preferred, with the possibility of other in-office days
as needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any
roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the
